30-Minute Triple-Threat Ground Turkey Feast

  • 1.5 lbs Ground Turkey preferably 93/7 lean
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 medium Onion chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp Taco Seasoning for Taco Filling
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can Canned Diced Tomatoes undrained (for Pasta Sauce)
  • 2 tbsp Tomato Paste for Pasta Sauce
  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano for Pasta Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Soy Sauce for Lettuce Wraps
  • 1 tbsp Rice Vinegar for Lettuce Wraps
  • 1 tsp Sesame Oil for Lettuce Wraps
  • 1 tbsp fresh Ginger grated (for Lettuce Wraps)
  • 2 tbsp Hoisin Sauce for Lettuce Wraps
  • Salt and Black Pepper to taste

Instructions
 

Cooking Turkey

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet, then add chopped onion and cook until softened.
  • Add ground turkey to the skillet, cook until no longer pink, and drain any excess fat.
  • Stir in minced garlic and cook for one minute until fragrant.
  • Divide the cooked turkey mixture into three equal portions.

Prepare Taco Filling

  • To one portion, add taco seasoning and 1/4 cup water; simmer for 5 minutes to thicken.

Prepare Pasta Sauce

  • To the second portion, stir in diced tomatoes, tomato paste, and oregano; simmer for 10-15 minutes to thicken and deepen flavors. Season.

Prepare Lettuce Wraps

  • To the third portion, add soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, grated ginger, and hoisin sauce; cook for 5-7 minutes until reduced and coating the turkey.

Notes

You can prepare all three variations of turkey simultaneously if your pan is large enough, or sequentially if preferred. Serve the taco filling in tortillas, the pasta sauce with your favorite pasta, and the lettuce wraps in large lettuce cups for a complete meal.
