Equipment

  • medium bowl
  • air fryer
  • cooking spray
  • small bowl
  • spoon

Ingredients

For the Fritters

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup apples, peeled, cored, and finely diced

For the Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Make the Fritters

  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  • In a separate medium bowl, whisk together egg, milk, and vanilla extract.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined, then gently fold in the diced apples.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease the basket with cooking spray.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the air fryer basket, ensuring not to overcrowd, and cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown.

Make the Glaze

  • While the fritters are cooking, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl until smooth.

Assemble

  • Once fritters are done, immediately dip or drizzle them with the prepared glaze and serve warm.

Notes

For best results, do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches if necessary. Adjust the amount of milk in the glaze to achieve desired consistency. These fritters are best served warm immediately after glazing.
