Ingredients
  

For the Pickles

  • 16 oz Dill pickles Choose your preferred type
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs You can use regular or gluten-free breadcrumbs
  • 1 large Egg Beaten
  • 1/2 cup Flour
  • to taste Spices (optional) Options include garlic powder, paprika, or Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Cooking spray For greasing the air fryer basket

Preparation

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • Slice the pickles into halves or quarters, depending on your preference.
  • Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten egg, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with your choice of spices.

Breading and Cooking

  • Dip each pickle piece in flour, then in the egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  • Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and arrange the breaded pickles in a single layer.
  • Spray the tops of the pickles with cooking spray to help them crisp up.
  • Cook in the air fryer for about 10-12 minutes, turning halfway through until golden brown.

Serving

  • Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

To store leftovers, let cool completely, place in an airtight container, and refrigerate for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer until crispy again. Avoid excess moisture by draining pickles well before breading. Cook in batches if necessary for even cooking. You can also use spicy pickles or different vegetable varieties for a twist!
