Equipment

  • Large Bowl
  • Knife
  • Peeler
  • Corer
  • 9x13 inch Baking Dish
  • Oven
  • Measuring Cups/Spoons

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cans Pillsbury Grands! Cinnamon Rolls (5 rolls each)
  • 4-5 medium Apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp recommended)
  • 4 tablespoons Butter (unsalted, melted)
  • ½ cup Brown Sugar (packed)
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • ½ cup Pecans (chopped)
  • ¼ cup Caramel Sauce (plus extra for drizzling)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Prepare the apples by peeling, coring, and chopping them into ½-inch to 1-inch pieces.
  • In a large bowl, combine the chopped apples with melted butter, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract, tossing to coat.
  • Gently fold the chopped pecans into the apple mixture.
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Open the cinnamon roll cans, remove the rolls, and set aside the icing packets for later use.
  • Cut each cinnamon roll into 4-6 pieces.
  • Combine the cut cinnamon roll pieces with the spiced apple and pecan mixture, gently tossing to combine all ingredients.
  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  • Generously drizzle ¼ cup of caramel sauce over the top of the casserole.

Baking & Serving

  • Bake for 25-35 minutes, or until the cinnamon rolls are golden brown and cooked through, and the apples are tender. Cover with foil if the top browns too quickly.
  • Remove the baked casserole from the oven.
  • While still hot, drizzle the reserved cinnamon roll icing evenly over the entire casserole.
  • Optionally, add an extra drizzle of caramel sauce before serving.
  • Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

If the top browns too quickly, loosely cover it with foil. Serve warm, and for an extra indulgence, drizzle with additional caramel sauce before serving.
