  • 10.5 oz can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 16 oz sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese divided

  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together cream of chicken soup, sour cream, onion powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  • Gently fold in the thawed hash browns and 1.5 cups of shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Pour the hash brown mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.

Topping and Baking

  • In a small bowl, combine melted butter with crushed cornflakes or Ritz crackers and the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Sprinkle the topping mixture evenly over the casserole.

Notes
