Main

  • 2 medium firm ripe bananas
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar

Instructions

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  • Slice the bananas into thin, uniform rounds, about ⅛ to ¼ inch thick.
  • In a medium bowl, gently toss the banana slices with cinnamon and granulated sugar until evenly coated.
  • Arrange the banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not overlap. You may need to work in batches.
  • Air fry for 10-15 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until golden brown and crispy. Cooking time may vary depending on your air fryer and banana thickness.
  • Carefully remove the banana chips from the air fryer and let them cool completely on a wire rack. They will crisp up further as they cool.
  • Serve immediately or store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of nutmeg or a drizzle of vanilla extract to the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Ensure bananas are firm and ripe for best results. Green bananas can be too starchy, and overly ripe bananas can be too soft and sweet.
