  • 1 cup mixed berries strawberries, raspberries, or blueberries, fresh or frozen for extra chill
  • 1 ripe banana fresh or frozen for creaminess
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 handful fresh spinach

Optional Boosts

  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds

  • Peel and chop the beet, and if using fresh berries, rinse them.
  • Add the liquid base to the blender first for smoother blending.
  • Toss in the chopped beets, berries, banana, and greens.
  • Add the chia seeds.
  • Blend on high until completely smooth; add more liquid if too thick.
  • Taste the smoothie and adjust as needed.
  • Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately.

Notes

For a colder smoothie, use frozen berries and a frozen banana. Adjust the sweetness to your liking by adding a touch of honey or a Medjool date.
