Instructions

Preparation

Cook the Filling

  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until browned, then drain any excess grease thoroughly.
  • Stir in the garlic powder, salt, and pepper, cooking for another minute to blend the flavors.

Assemble the Pie

  • Spoon the seasoned beef mixture evenly into the prepared pie crust and sprinkle with half (1/2 cup) of the shredded cheese.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, ketchup, and mustard until well combined.
  • Pour the egg mixture over the beef and cheese in the pie crust, then sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded cheese over the top.

Bake and Serve

  • Place the pie on a baking sheet and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top is golden brown.
  • Let the pie rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving to allow the filling to set further.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider browning the pie crust slightly before adding the filling. Feel free to experiment with different cheese blends for a unique taste. Serve with your favorite cheeseburger toppings like pickles, tomatoes, and lettuce.
