Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 450-500°F (230-260°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven for at least 30 minutes during preheating.

Assemble Pizza

  • Roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness and transfer it to a pizza stone or baking sheet.
  • Spread an even layer of pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
  • Scatter the torn or sliced fresh mozzarella evenly over the sauce.
  • Arrange the pepperoni slices over the cheese layer.
  • Evenly distribute the sautéed mushrooms, thinly sliced red onions, and bell pepper strips across the pizza.
  • Sprinkle the sliced black olives over the other toppings.
  • If desired, drizzle a little extra virgin olive oil over the pizza.

Bake & Serve

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned in spots.
  • Carefully remove the pizza from the oven.
  • Immediately scatter fresh basil leaves over the hot pizza.
  • Let the pizza rest for 2-3 minutes before slicing and serving. Serve with a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for those who like a kick.

Notes

Baking time may vary depending on your oven and dough. For a crispier crust, ensure your pizza stone is thoroughly preheated. Feel free to customize toppings to your preference!
