  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin

  • Add chopped onion to the skillet and cook until softened (3-5 minutes), then stir in minced garlic and cook for one more minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in crushed tomatoes, black beans, and frozen corn; stir in chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  • Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for 10-15 minutes to meld flavors, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from heat and serve hot once the mixture is heated through and flavors are well combined.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding a dash of hot sauce or a squeeze of lime juice before serving. This dish is also great for meal prepping and can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
