  • 2-3 medium-sized lemons (zest and juice)
  • 3-4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (or dill/chives)

Cooking Steps

  • Pat the peeled and deveined shrimp dry and season generously with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  • Add shrimp to the skillet in a single layer and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque; remove and set aside.
  • Reduce heat to medium, add minced garlic to the same pan, and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Pour in broth and lemon juice, scraping up any browned bits from the pan.
  • Simmer the sauce for 1-2 minutes until slightly reduced, then stir in lemon zest, parsley, and butter.

Notes

Adjust red pepper flakes to your preferred spice level. Serve over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread to soak up the delicious sauce.
