  • 6 oz Fresh Salmon Fillets per person, skin on or off
  • a good quality Olive Oil
  • 1 Lemon half for juice and half for wedges
  • to taste Garlic Powder
  • to taste Paprika
  • to taste Dried Dill
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black Pepper

Optional

  • a touch Brown Sugar or Maple Syrup

Preparation

  • Pat the salmon fillets dry thoroughly with paper towels to ensure a crispy skin.
  • Drizzle the salmon with olive oil, then generously sprinkle with garlic powder, paprika, dried dill, salt, and pepper. Gently rub the seasoning into both sides of the fillets and squeeze fresh lemon juice over them.

Grilling

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (400-450°F or 200-230°C) and ensure the grates are clean and lightly oiled.
  • Place the salmon fillets skin-side down (if applicable), close the lid, and cook for 4-6 minutes.
  • Carefully flip the salmon and cook for another 3-5 minutes, or until opaque throughout and flakes easily.

Serving

  • Remove the salmon from the grill, let it rest for a minute or two, then serve immediately with extra lemon wedges.

Notes

For best results, use fresh, high-quality salmon fillets. Adjust seasoning to your personal preference. To avoid sticking, ensure your grill grates are very clean and well-oiled before placing the fish.
