  • 1-2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 lemon for juicing
  • 1/4 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

  • Prepare the shrimp by peeling and deveining them if not already done, then pat them dry and season generously with salt and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  • Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 30-60 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  • Add the seasoned shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque; cook in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
  • Stir in chicken/vegetable broth and fresh parsley, cooking for another 30 seconds until the sauce slightly thickens, then squeeze fresh lemon juice over the shrimp before serving.
  • Serve immediately while hot.
