Ingredients

Sausage Ball Ingredients

  • 1 lb finely ground breakfast sausage
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 ½ cups Bisquick baking mix or similar biscuit mix
  • ½ tsp garlic powder optional, but highly recommended

Equipment

  • large mixing bowl
  • baking sheet
  • parchment paper

Instructions

Preheat & Prep

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Combine Ingredients

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground sausage, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, Bisquick, and optional garlic powder. Mix thoroughly with your hands until a uniform dough forms.

Roll & Bake

  • Roll the mixture into small, golf-ball-sized spheres (1 to 1.5 inches), placing them one inch apart on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature 160°F/71°C).

Notes

For best results, ensure the cream cheese is fully softened before mixing. You can make these ahead of time and freeze them unbaked; simply add a few extra minutes to the baking time if cooking from frozen.
