  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 1/2 cup dill pickles, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsps fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp pickle juice
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine the shredded or diced cooked chicken and the finely chopped dill pickles.
  • Add mayonnaise, fresh dill, Dijon mustard, and pickle juice to the bowl.
  • Mix all the ingredients thoroughly until well combined and the chicken is evenly coated.
  • Season the chicken salad with salt and black pepper to taste, then stir again to distribute seasonings.

Notes

For best flavor, chill the chicken salad in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving. This allows the flavors to meld together beautifully. Serve on bread, crackers, or lettuce cups.
