These incredibly easy 2-ingredient wonton mozzarella sticks are a perfect quick snack or appetizer, offering a crispy exterior and gooey melted cheese inside.

  • 12 Wonton Wrappers

  • Cooking spray for air frying/oven baking
  • Neutral oil for deep frying

Preparation

  • Set up your workspace by laying out wonton wrappers and having a small bowl of water ready.
  • Place a mozzarella stick at one corner of a wonton wrapper, then fold and roll tightly to enclose the cheese.
  • Moisten the final edge of the wrapper with water and press to seal it securely; repeat for all cheese sticks.

Cooking Methods

  • For air frying, preheat to 375°F (190°C), spray with cooking spray, and cook for 5-8 minutes, flipping halfway.
  • For deep frying, heat neutral oil to 350°F (175°C) and fry for 1-2 minutes per side until golden, then drain on paper towels.
  • For oven baking, preheat to 400°F (200°C), place on parchment paper, and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  • Serve immediately with your preferred dipping sauce for the best taste.

Notes

These mozzarella sticks are incredibly versatile. Feel free to experiment with different dipping sauces or even add a pinch of garlic powder or dried herbs to the inside of the wonton wrapper for extra flavor before wrapping. Ensure your oil is at the correct temperature for deep frying to prevent soggy or overly greasy results.
