  • 1 lb large fresh strawberries about 25-30, firm and ripe
  • 4 oz cream cheese half a block, softened at room temperature
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar sifted
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation

  • Wash and pat dry the strawberries, then carefully remove the green tops and create a small, concave cavity in the center of each, forming a cup for the filling.
  • In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sifted powdered sugar, and vanilla extract, then beat until the mixture is smooth, creamy, and lump-free.

Assembly & Serving

  • Transfer the cream cheese mixture into a piping bag with a star tip (or a Ziploc bag with a snipped corner/small spoon) and fill each strawberry cavity.
  • Arrange the filled strawberries on a platter, garnish as desired with shredded coconut, chocolate shavings, chopped nuts, or mint sprigs.
  • Chill the platter of deviled strawberries in the refrigerator for 15-30 minutes before serving to allow the filling to firm up and the berries to cool.

Notes

For the best presentation, ensure your strawberries are firm and similarly sized. Chilling is crucial for the filling to set and for a refreshing experience. Get creative with your garnishes to match the occasion!
