  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk whole milk recommended
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar or mozzarella-cheddar blend
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup cooked diced ham
  • 1/4 cup chopped bell pepper

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease an 8x8-inch baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until well combined, then stir in the cooked diced ham and chopped bell pepper.
  • Pour half of the shredded cheese into the prepared baking dish, carefully pour the egg mixture over the cheese, and then sprinkle the remaining cheese evenly over the top.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the casserole is set in the center and the top is golden brown and bubbly; a knife inserted into the center should come out clean.
  • Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of garlic powder or onion powder to the egg mixture. You can also customize this casserole with various vegetables like spinach or mushrooms.
