  • 1 sheet puff pastry (about 9x13 inches)
  • 1 wheel (8-ounce) brie cheese cut into small cubes
  • 1/2 cup whole berry cranberry sauce store-bought or homemade
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts optional
  • 1 egg for egg wash

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a mini muffin tin.
  • Unroll the thawed puff pastry sheet and cut it into 24 squares, each approximately 2x2 inches.
  • Gently press each pastry square into the prepared muffin tin cups.
  • Place a small cube of brie cheese into the center of each pastry cup.
  • Top the brie with a spoonful of cranberry sauce and sprinkle with chopped pecans or walnuts if desired.
  • Brush the edges of each puff pastry square with the whisked egg wash.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed, then let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For an extra festive touch, garnish with a fresh cranberry or a sprig of rosemary after baking.
