  • 1 stick unsalted butter (1/2 cup), softened
  • 4-6 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise (secret ingredient)

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and then slice the bread lengthwise or horizontally, creating a pull-apart style if using a baguette.

Making the Garlic Butter

  • In a small bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, chopped fresh parsley, salt, pepper, and mayonnaise, mixing well until smooth.

Assembling the Garlic Bread

  • Generously spread the garlic butter mixture over the cut sides of the bread, ensuring it fills all crevices.
  • Evenly sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the buttered bread, followed by the grated Parmesan cheese.

Baking

  • Place the bread on an oven rack or baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and the edges are golden brown.
  • For extra crispiness, you can broil for the last 1-2 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.

  • Remove from the oven, slice (if not pull-apart), and serve immediately.
