  • 2 tbsp white miso paste
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds, for garnish

Preparation

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the miso paste, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the miso sauce.

Cooking

  • Steam or blanch the trimmed green beans until they are crisp-tender, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Drain the green beans well and transfer them to a serving bowl.
  • Pour the miso sauce over the warm green beans and toss to coat evenly.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can lightly toast the sesame seeds before garnishing. Adjust the amount of miso paste to your taste preferences.
