Cooking Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, add the linguine, and cook until al dente, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  • While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and cook minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add the shrimp to the skillet, cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink, and season with salt and pepper.
  • Pour in white wine and lemon juice, bring to a simmer, and cook for 2-3 minutes to reduce the liquid slightly.
  • Remove the skillet from heat and stir in butter pieces until melted, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  • Add the cooked linguine and chopped parsley to the skillet, tossing everything together with a splash of reserved pasta water if needed for a saucier consistency.
  • Season with red pepper flakes and adjust salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve immediately, optionally garnished with fresh Parmesan cheese.

Notes

For an extra touch of flavor, consider adding a splash of chicken broth along with the wine and lemon juice. Be sure not to overcook the shrimp, as it can become rubbery quickly. A good quality dry white wine will enhance the sauce without overpowering the delicate flavors of the dish.
