Equipment

  • Oven
  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper
  • Large Bowl
  • Skillet

Ingredients

Meatball Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Turkey 93% lean or leaner
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs plain or panko
  • 1/4 cup Milk any kind
  • 1 Egg large
  • 1/4 cup Finely Grated Parmesan Cheese optional
  • 2 Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp Dried Italian Seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper

For Cooking

  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil for pan-frying, if not baking

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper if baking; otherwise, prepare a large skillet for pan-frying.

Combine Ingredients

  • In a large bowl, gently combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, Parmesan (if using), minced garlic, parsley, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix to prevent tough meatballs.

Shape Meatballs

  • Scoop spoonfuls of the mixture (about 1 tablespoon each) and roll them into uniform balls; aim for consistency to ensure even cooking, yielding approximately 18-20 meatballs.

Cook Meatballs (Choose One Method)

  • Bake the meatballs on the prepared baking sheet for 18-22 minutes until cooked through and lightly browned, or until an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) is reached.
  • Alternatively, pan-fry the meatballs in 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat for 8-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through, cooking in batches if necessary.

Serve

  • Your cooked ground turkey meatballs are now ready to be served immediately or incorporated into your favorite recipe.

Notes

These meatballs are highly versatile; try serving them with pasta, in a sub, or as an appetizer. Feel free to adjust seasonings to your preference, and consider adding finely diced onion or bell pepper for extra flavor and moisture.
