  • sharp knife
  • small, shallow round dish
  • toothpick

Ingredients

Dips

  • 1 container hummus about 10-12 oz
  • 1 container pre-made guacamole about 8 oz
  • 1 container Greek yogurt or tzatziki about 8 oz

Vegetables & Garnish

  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 yellow bell pepper
  • 1 large cucumber
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 bunch radishes
  • 1 punnet cherry tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro
  • 1/4 cup fresh dill
  • 1/4 cup fresh chives
  • 1/4 cup Kalamata olives, pitted
  • 1/4 cup pomegranate seeds optional
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

For Serving

  • Assorted crackers and pita bread for serving

Instructions

Hummus Garden

  • Spread hummus on one half of a large rectangular platter to create a garden base.
  • Sprinkle chopped fresh dill around the hummus edges to resemble grass.
  • Arrange thin cucumber slices as a path across the hummus.
  • Stand carrot sticks upright to form edible trees or bushes.
  • Halve radishes and cherry tomatoes, then plant them randomly within the hummus.
  • Cut a star from yellow bell pepper and place it above the garden as a sun.

Guacamole Volcano

  • Mound guacamole on the other half of the platter, shaping it into a volcano cone.
  • Mix diced red bell pepper with chopped cilantro to create the "lava" mixture.
  • Spoon the "lava" over the volcano peak, allowing it to naturally drip down the sides.
  • Arrange crackers around the volcano base to represent volcanic rock and provide dipping access.

Greek Yogurt Swirl

  • Spoon Greek yogurt or tzatziki into a separate small, shallow round dish.
  • Drizzle olive oil in a spiral pattern over the yogurt.
  • Swirl the olive oil and yogurt with a toothpick for a marbled effect.
  • Decorate the swirl with whole Kalamata olives and a sprinkle of chopped chives around the edges.

Final Touches

  • Scatter remaining cherry tomatoes and bell pepper strips for color and extra dippers.
  • Garnish the entire presentation with extra fresh cilantro and dill springs.
  • Optionally, sprinkle pomegranate seeds over the hummus garden for a jewel-like effect.
  • Arrange pita bread slices and crackers around the platter for easy access to all dips.

Notes

This recipe is highly adaptable. Feel free to use other vegetables like sliced radishes, sugar snap peas, or colorful carrot varieties to enhance your "garden." For a spicier "lava," add a pinch of chili powder to the red bell pepper and cilantro mixture. Always arrange dippers aesthetically for the best presentation. Enjoy making this edible masterpiece!
