Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined thawed if frozen, tails on or off
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3-4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine or chicken broth
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced

Instructions

Preparation

  • Thaw and pat dry the shrimp; season with salt and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Sauté minced garlic and red pepper flakes for 30-60 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add seasoned shrimp to the pan and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  • Deglaze the pan with white wine or chicken broth and simmer for 30 seconds.
  • Remove from heat, stir in lemon juice and parsley, then adjust seasoning and serve immediately.

Notes

For best flavor, use fresh shrimp. If you prefer less heat, reduce the amount of red pepper flakes. This dish is excellent served with pasta, crusty bread, or rice.
