  • 1 pound large or jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined fresh or thawed frozen
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter divided
  • 4-5 garlic, minced cloves
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • red pepper flakes optional, for a hint of heat

Instructions
 

Prepare the Shrimp

  • Thaw and pat the shrimp dry, then season lightly with salt and pepper.

Melt Butter and Sauté Garlic

  • Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat, then sauté minced garlic until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Cook the Shrimp

  • Increase heat to medium-high, add shrimp in a single layer, and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.

Finish the Dish

  • Remove the skillet from heat and add the remaining butter, lemon juice, parsley, and optional red pepper flakes; toss gently to combine.

Serve Immediately

  • Taste and adjust seasoning if needed, then serve the shrimp hot.

Notes

For best results, do not overcrowd the pan when cooking the shrimp; cook in batches if necessary to ensure even cooking and a good sear.
