Instructions

Instructions

  • Squeeze fresh limes to get 1 cup of juice, supplementing with bottled lime juice if needed, though fresh is preferred.
  • Combine the fresh lime juice, full-fat coconut milk, and granulated sugar in a blender.
  • Blend on high speed for 1-2 minutes until smooth, creamy, and frothy, ensuring the sugar has dissolved.
  • Add the cold water and blend for another 15-20 seconds to thoroughly combine all ingredients.
  • Taste the limeade and adjust sweetness as desired, adding more sugar if limes are tart or if you prefer a sweeter drink.
  • For a smooth texture, optionally strain the limeade through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher to remove any pulp or solids.
  • Refrigerate the limeade until well-chilled, then serve over ice and garnish with fresh lime slices and toasted coconut flakes if desired.

Notes

For an extra tropical twist, you can add a few pineapple chunks to the blender. Make sure the coconut milk is well-shaken before opening to ensure proper mixing. This limeade is best served fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
